Please let us know if you are planning to bring a large group to visit Stone Quarry Art Park. Advance notice allows us to plan accordingly. The suggested donation is $5 per person.
Artist-Led Experiences for Schools, Community Organizations, and Large Groups
For schools, community organizations, and other large groups, we are pleased to offer artist-led experiences of the grounds that include making activities for students and adults. Stone Quarry’s 2024 teaching artist grace otten designs experiences that are responsive and specific to your group’s interests. For an artist-led experience we suggest a $15 per person donation, or a pay-what-you-can sliding scale. For more information or to plan a visit, please email artistic director Sayward Schoonmaker at sayward@sqhap.org or call (315) 655-3196.
About the Teaching Artist:
grace otten (b.1997) received their BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Art History from the University of North Texas in 2020 and are currently an MFA in Studio Art candidate at Syracuse University. otten is an interdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, poetry, and video, making work that engages with themes of intimacy, care, shame, and eroticism. Created from tender, deeply personal places, their work creates an archive of their lived somatic and emotional experiences that bask in the glow of vulnerability. They have been working at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia, NY as a visiting teaching artist since May 2023 and previously served as the gallery manager and curator at Random Access Gallery in Syracuse, NY.
